Diamondback
1260Ef Elliptical Trainer Review
What
makes the Diamondback 1260 elliptical trainer standout from the crowd is the
ability to adjust the incline. Incline elevation is a standard feature on
treadmills, but are rarely found on ellipticals. The main reason is Precor has
a lock on this patented feature. I'm not sure how Diamondback gets around the
patent, except their design is front drive, rather than the Precor rear drive.
Why would you want to adjust the incline on an elliptical? It allows you
to focus on exercising different leg muscles. It also takes the cardio workout
to a whole new level. I've used Precor ellipticals in health clubs, and when I
crank up the elevation, I am sweating bullets.
The Diamondback 1260 has programs
that focus on particular muscles, for example, there is the Glute Burner and the
Quad Builder. Not sure why you want to burn one and build the other.

Our Review - Diamondback 1260Ef
I
loved the elevation feature. It adds more variety to your elliptical workout,
while exercising different muscle groups. For that reason alone, I would recommend
this elliptical. Especially since it cost about a $1,000 less than comparable
models that let you adjust the incline. That is why ProSource sells considerable
more of this model than any other Diamondback elliptical.
I thought the
elliptical motion was a bit circular and bouncy, but that is my own opinion. It
comes with a 19" stride. If you are tall you may find the stride a bit confining.
Overall, this is an excellent cross training machine for the money.
