Combine the TV with a decent budget price, and this elliptical trainer is worth considering. However, there are some limitation to this particular model that you need to take into consideration. I tested a similar model when I was at the ProForm Headquaters. This is my feedback...Smooth Elliptical Motion — Realizing this is a budget elliptical, the elliptical motion is relatively smooth, with 12 levels of resistance. It has a front-end drive, which some people prefer. The one advantage is it tends to take up less space. However, this is a light weight elliptical, and I would put the user weight limit at around 210 lbs. Also, the pedals run on a single concave wheel. This design can result in minor left-right shifting after continual usage. 18" Stride — I felt the stride length was comfortable for my 5'8" height. If you were over 6'2", you would want to consider an elliptical with a 20" stride. Music Port — You can plug in your iPod or MP3 player and output to the speakers built-in to the machine. 20 Workout Programs — You get a generous selection of programs that include 20 Personal Trainer, 2 Heart Rate and 2 Create & Save Workouts. However, the heart rate programs require holding on to the stationary handlebars. The standout feature on the Perspective 1000 is the 7" flat screen TV. This may be one of the lowest price ellipticals on the market that include a TV. Exercising in place can be like watching paint dry. Having a distraction can encourage to prolong your workout and get increase results.
