ProForm CrossWalk 8.0 - This is an exceptional deal on a compact center drive elliptical trainer. It comes with a variable stride that goes from 18"-22". It is built by the same company as NordicTrack. In fact, NordicTrack has a similar model that cost about $100 more. As of 8/16/10 the ProForm CrossWalk 850 was selling for $699 with shipping. A price that makes their competitors shake their head. This is not a heavy duty elliptical, and it has some limitations. That said, this may be one of the best budget buys on the market. Mid-Priced Elliptical Trainers

Smooth Fitness CE 7.4 Elliptical Trainer - If you prefer a rear drive elliptical the Smooth CE 7.4 is a smart choice. It has an excellent service record and is very stable and durable. It comes with an Electro Magnetic System that gives it very smooth and quiet elliptical motion. I also like the 21" elliptical stride and their patented articulating foot pedals that angle your feet with the elliptical stride. Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer - Sole makes some excellent front drive elliptical trainers. The E35 is a 20" stride elliptical, with a smooth motion and for 2009 - Power Incline.
