ProForm
160 CrossTrainer Elliptical Trainer Review
Not a bad elliptical for the money, but you are getting into the low-end of budget machines. When you consider that you can get the 160 for $599, with shipping. When you minus the shipping chage that doesn't leave much to invest into the components and engineering.
However, for an inexpensive elliptical it has one of the better elliptical motions. Although it is not one of the more stable machines are the market.
Features on the 160 CrossTrainer...
Foot Pedal Rollers - The ProForm 160 has rollers running
on a single round tube. This is the type of design you will find on budget ellipticals that have a front drive. The drawback is that the single roller is not as sturdy as a double roller design.
Generous Selection of Workout Programs - The ProForm
160 comes with 9 standard workouts — 5 cross-training programs, 1 heart rate program, 1 program that you design and 2 calorie burning programs. The variety of challenging workouts
will help to motivate you in burning calories.
Generous Warranty - Considering the price you get a generous 1 year parts and labor warranty. Not bad for a $499 machine.
Our Review - ProForm 160 Elliptical Trainer
For the price the ProForm 160 is a good value, and if you can't
afford anymore, this machine is worth considering. Realize this is a budget elliptical trainer. It is not build for heavy-duty
use. Obviously at this price you are getting an elliptical that is less durable than higher price machines.
They give it a 275 user weight limit. I would top out at 225 lbs.
You may want to consider upgrading the warranty to 2 years. Well worth the price and the
peace of mind knowing repairs are covered for two years.
